What Is an Income and Asset Certificate

An Income and Asset Certificate is an official document issued by a State/UT revenue authority certifying:

  • Annual family income, and
  • Movable and immovable assets owned by the family

It is commonly required for:

  • Reservation under Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
  • Scholarships and fee concessions
  • Welfare schemes
  • Certains government recruitments and admissions

Issuing Authority

Depending on the State/UT, the certificate is issued by:

  • Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM)
  • Tehsildar/Revenue Officer
  • District Magistrate
  • e-District/Citizen Service Centres

Online Procedure
